About Linda K Miller

Linda K Miller (61), a long-time Seeker and subscriber to the major Internet dating services, has had more than four hundred 1st Dates. She’s mastered the mating dance of written words and online protocol. She’s clicked on and off several thousand “matches” and transformed those on-paper connections to dates with men from the southern tip of Texas to the northern border of Minnesota, from California to Maryland and points in between.

Her 1st Dates, employed and retired, include engineers, college professors, airline pilots, medical personnel, government officials, psychologists, a police detective, a mortician, a professional golfer, a surfer and a truck driver.

Ms Miller has acquired vast and varied work and personal experience. While living in Iowa, Southern California, Oregon, Washington and Mexico she worked in pink-, blue-, and white-collar jobs—union, non-union, retail, factory floor, field, office, and boardroom. She’s been employed in manufacturing, cosmetology, and corporations. She was Business Development Manager at a $100 million firm; managed a collision repair facility; is a licensed insurance agent; owned a hair salon; worked as a convenience store clerk; wrote for a daily newspaper; taught electrical union apprentices; bartended; worked in the field as a licensed Journey(wo)man electrician (obtaining a supervisor’s license in two states); and, by necessity, earned her status as a veteran cyber SoulMate Seeker.

Dear Seeker,
I wrote this playbook to assist single Boomers in their quest to find a SoulMate in cyber-space. I was born and raised in the real River City (Mason City, Iowa), hometown of Meredith Willson, creator of The Music Man, in which Professor Harold Hill preached, “Ya gotta know the territory.” And I do.

This guidebook will help you successfully navigate through the inherent muck and mire of the online quagmire, from initial consideration to fait accompli. You’ll learn how to approach your project for maximum results; find a useful website tailored to your needs; write your profile; respond to communications; spot and circumvent trouble; handle the inevitable rejection; and, maybe most importantly, regain momentum after disappointments and heartbreak. Ultimately, it’s about snagging the all-important 1st Date, the primary pathway to that magical wondrous connection with a SoulMate.

Happy hunting,
La la Linda
